Since I have been working on my Independent study I haven't finished my figure study, I decided to do something different than my eyeball. This is from a photo, the highlights of the face and things are going to be newspaper and the background is going to be all graphite pencil. I wanted to use a different media so this is kind of a experimental piece. I hope it turns out the way I would like it to.

For a couple of weeks now, I have been working on my independent study. This is still going to be 3 self portraits out of different medias. Now getting deeper into this projects process I think these 3 different medias are going to be symbolic of different things in my life. I am on my clay peice, the base and body of this is all made out of coils of about 1 inch in diameter, after that process of slipping and scoring the coils, i smoothed out the sides to form more of a body. Right now I am working on structure of the face, and getting all of the proportions correct.

This is a photograph/ Pic-stitch of my value study project I had did over break and also made out of graphite pencil. It took me about 2 hours, I need some help with the background, i'm not sure what I want to do with it. So any suggestions let me know. This is a Little still life i had set up at my house, the rocks created a texture to the photo, and the candles are in glass containers, and the thing in the middle is some form of jar, but held very nice reflections.

Reflection Progect
This is my Reflection peice, in this project I am going to be making an Eyeball that is more sculptural like, this is going to give demension and alot of 3-D features. This isnt a very good picture of it, but it is coming along, with this project the eyeball is going to be smoothed out, and attatched to an eyelid later on, giving it a better view to look at, the inside of my eyeball will be either a darker grey, or a color. I hope to have this project done after Christmas Break.
